Description of Phoenix Systems V-12 Reverse Brake & Clutch Bleeder πŸ”§ Kit - Medium Duty Solo Bleeder with Hard Case (2003-B)

Patented Reverse Bleeding removes more trapped air than any other brake bleeder by simply pushing Brake Fluid fluid from the bottom up. Reverse bleeding is the only method capable of bleeding tough ABS units without a scan tool. Allows you to refill and bleed a completely dry brake or clutch system. Perform Reverse, Vacuum, Pressure and Bench bleeding all with the same tool. The V-12 is considered a Medium Duty tool for average shop use. Compatible with DOT 3, 4 and 5.1 brake fluid. Comes with a injection molded hard case. Is the easiest one-person bleeder you will ever use. No more asking your co-worker to help you finish a brake job.

I was worried about this tool

I was nervous to buy this product the price was high. But it works great. The first time I bled the pedal hit the floor, the second time I bled the system. I dropped my new tool on the cement floor, it's strong, thank god it works, my brakes are great

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • volume

Don't Buy Junk - Tools & Equipment

This is bullshit. I had one like this 20 years ago when I was a full-time tech and it was great. The new plastic version is junk. Sucks in air while reloading. It gets stuck in the middle of a turn and doesn't refill. You'd better save your money and bleed the brakes the old-fashioned way, so you'll complete this exercise anyway.

  • Great Price

does not work as stated

Does not work as stated. The trigger is very tight and jerks. It drips everywhere! I bought it for a project and used it the other day. At the end I bled the brakes as usual. with assistant! Unfortunately the return window closed before I could use it. I really want my money back and not throw away $175!

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Requires socket

The whole point was to save fluid ($80 for Castrol SRF)

The whole point was to save fluid ($80 for Castrol SRF). Some plastic hoses are over $150! I use a bottle pump like an old Windex cap or go back to a powerful $30 vacuum with extra attachments. I was just expecting more efficiency, it looks cheap although it could work. It looks like it could lead to a mess. Cool idea for some, not for me. I can't imagine it lasting long. Clean them with denatured alcohol when you're happy with that. For $155 I'm not happy

Pros
  • Great overall performance

Not Enough Parts - Brake Bleeding Tools

Great for pumping out all those nasty old juices. Mechanics hang dry and wet. The real problem I have is that there are no parts to connect the nozzle to the bottle. I can just bleed the master cylinder, but when re-inflating or "powering" there are simply no fittings to run from the tank to the gun and there is still a hose to connect to the bleed screw. Better with the Motive Products Power Bleeder and a powerful vacuum. Especially considering the price. For $200 I could buy both, do the same

Pros
  • Doping πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Almost Never

Technically works on brake bleeder tools

First, it works. It does exactly what it promises. It just does it in a very messy way that I don't think will really save you time once you're done cleaning up your mess. Although I like it for certain uses. I was hoping to reverse bleed the clutch in my Ranger but due to the design of the bleed screw you can't put anything in there with a good gasket. A few months later I overheated my brakes and it worked really well. I was alone and wanted to make sure I dumped all the old liquid. So I…
