Arrived quickly and looks great, when installing behind the speedo I had to add some small washers to create a basic mounting surface; Without them, the base would fall into the holes rendering them useless. Another thing is that the ball mount that holds the phone holder doesn't tighten as it should and with a light touch the phone moves. So far it's enough, but I'd like it to be stronger.

I liked the idea of this holder in relation to its location in the car but this thing is very poorly made. Very thin plastic on the back ball joint so you can't tighten it enough to keep the phone stable. The phone clamp is also not tight enough that even the slightest bump will cause the phone to fall out (I have an iPhone 11 Pro so this is one of the smallest/lightest models). I returned it after a ride.

Installation on my 2012 Mini Countryman was a nightmare and doesn't work at all. It just doesn't fit and keeps bumping into the vent. On the last try, one of the screws holding the odometer fell into the gap between the steering wheel and the dashboard. I have no idea if the post could cause steering or car problems so now I have to take it to a mechanic to have it checked. But tom's line, it's cheap, made of aluminium, but it justifies its price. Installed on a 2013 Mini Countryman. The Mini logo and British flag are almost invisible and meaningless.
