Easy to use and great performance.

I'm not a professional photographer but that's exactly what I was hoping for. Gives a lot of light for my needs and I really have nothing to compare it to in terms of reuse speed. The manual comes on a USB stick which is cool and easy to use.

What's on offer: Flashes

Was looking for lots of new flashes as I already have a Canon 580 exII but was looking for something cheaper without sacrificing quality. That's it. I also bought Odin's Twin Pack Trigger System which is a must have and much smaller than the Pocket Master System.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Great on and off camera

I have used Canon and Lumopro flashes for flash photography. I had to replace a Canon flash and opted for the Mitros base over the EX430 as recommended. Mitros offers more control, more remote start options and is great for my needs.

  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive

does everything i need!

I have 3 SLR cameras. I have a Canon 580 MkII flash and I really like it. I needed a second flash and when I ordered Phottix I figured it would be a good "backup" flash. I was so happy that it does everything I can think of for the 580 to do. I can't think of any bad qualities.

Works great with my T3i

Great flash upgrade for my photography. Got a Canon 380EX that just wasn't powerful enough. It doesn't have this problem. Used it with the T3i's wireless remote and it worked just as well as the Canon flash which had trouble firing when used with an off-camera umbrella. Recommended on the Strobist website.

Very Impressed: Shoe Mount Flashes

Full featured high speed synchro flash compatible with my 6D? Hmm, yes please! I have two YongNuo 468 IIs that I've been using for a few months and I've been happy with them except they didn't sync at high speed. Not only does Phottix make HSS, but the build quality and carrying case is so top notch that I think it actually outperforms many of Canon's own flashes. I really want to get some more for group sync. I might just have to. This is the rule, and it completely changes the rules of the…

Extremely satisfied

This flash costs $300. It might not be as good as the $600 Canon 600ex-rt, but it's very close to half the price. The build quality is very good and you also get a soft body (much better than Canon) and a cone. A few thoughts.- I love the audible sound when the flash is reloaded and ready to go, very convenient- I like the look and feel- Fast charge time- More powerful than the Canon 580exii, almost as powerful as the 600ex-rt- Phottix should integrate the Odin system, crap - seems to be eating

Pros
  • Keep my fists
Cons
  • Negative gift
