Great little OLED display!

These pieces are pretty good, especially for the price. As you can see in the images, I made a snap frame for my prototype to make the prototyping process easier (file available on Thingiverse, search for thing 4768895). The AdaFruit SSD1306 Arduino driver works great with these modules. You can also control with any I2C device if you read the SSD1306 datasheet available online. Be sure to copy (or print) the specs from the description and save them along with the details for future reference…

Pros
  • What You Get: There are 5 pieces OLED display modules with classic display color, auto backlight and no backlight
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Good displays, no pre-soldered headers

later Good displays - all set to 0x3C i2c address. Came without soldered headers, which was perfect as I needed a locking connector, not headers. The headers are in the package, so they just need to be soldered on if needed. I hope to have more white displays in stock soon!

Pros
  • Details: Use compatible with Arduino, ESP8266, ESP32, STM32, etc.; 3.35V power; Operating Temperature: -40 - 85℃; Resolution: 128 x 32
Cons
  • I'll write

Great value, works great with TinyPico board

I use these with TinyPico boards with MicroPython and they work great. The screen is bright, very responsive and perfectly legible. It's easy to display animations on it without lag. You can write or edit text pixel by pixel, draw lines or rectangles, fill areas, and scroll. I use it with the MicroPython library, which can be found at stlehmann/micropython-ssd1306 on GitHub. There is also an Arduino library called ssd1306. I'm glad I found it at such a low price! A similar screen is available…

Pros
  • Computers and accessories
Cons
  • Long delivery time

After some experimentation I came up with the following to use this with Seeeduino XIAO in PlatformIO. Show GND --> Show XIAO GND VCC --> Show XIAO 3V3 (not 5V!) SDA --> Show XIAO SDA SCL --> Show XIAO SCL Library used: lib_deps = olikraus/U8g2@^2.28.8 Example main.cpp added with some comments: #include <Arduino.h>#include <U8x8lib.h>U8X8_SSD1306_128X32_UNIVISION_HW_I2C u8x8(/* reset =*/ U8X8_PIN_NONE); invalid setting (invalid) {u8x8.begin(); u8x8.setFlipMode(1); // set

Pros
  • Tablet replacement parts
Cons
  • Only available in black
