gives good volume.

They don't give you crazy volume, but they still look good. I have very fine straight hair so it flattened out after a while but that's to be expected, I don't think it has anything to do with it. I just wish they came with some kind of instructions or pictures because I had no idea how to put them on and got it wrong the first time. the hairpins don't slip off which makes me very happy as i was worried that my hair type would cause them to slip off. Just used them for the first time and they worked great! I put them on my wet hair and slept with them on (top of head only). It's not too crazy, but it gives extra volume.

My hair is thin like a baby's. That means I have to use a lot of products and techniques to look like I have a lot of hair. I thought these would be perfect. I was wrong. I thought my mom used these instead of the curlers she uses now. She couldn't open them easily and they were too heavy to rest on her head. I've tried opening them a couple of times and found them problematic as well.

It didn't work for me. Instead of creating lift and volume at the roots, it creates a huge dent in the hair that I found difficult to work with. I really wanted it to work.
