Description of 🧦 PIG Home Solutions Water and Moisture Absorbing Sock - 4 pack - 3"x 48" - Blue - PIG106 - Keep Your Space Dry with this High Absorption Solution

Flexible socks stop leaks, drips and condensation from freezers, coolers, windowsills and sliding glass doors. Also great for basement and garage leaks or anywhere water seeps in. Polypropylene skin resists tearing; reduces dust and holds in liquid, even when it's fully saturated. Designed to keep your home dry. This sock absorbs water and can be left down long-term without growing mildew. Socks should not be left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Prolonged UV exposure will cause degradation. Not suitable for either the washing machine or dryer as the sock may become damaged in the process and filler loose in the machines.

Looks ugly and doesn't matter

So I have 30ft standing beds that I put between my neighbor's house and mine. The drip system I made it so they drained water as intended, but the construction of the cement allowed water to flow towards my neighbor's house and driveway, which they didn't like. I laid this overlap along the entire length. Path immediately behind the legs of the pots. The hope was to divert the water to my lawn and not my neighbors' house. Unfortunately the water passed right under them, there was no diversion…

Was skeptical, but nothing more!

When it rains very hard, we pour water in our basement. I was looking for something to curb the spread and it seemed like the right thing to do. I doubted they would work, but I was wrong! In case of heavy rain, I put them in the basement as soon as I receive them. Well we had this rain a few days ago. When I got home from work I checked where the water usually goes and there wasn't any! HOORAY! I checked and one was full. He did his job. We've had rain since then so I've left it and haven't…

A bit wide, therefore suitable for all-purpose cleaners

I get a lot of water in my basement when it rains so I bought some temporary fixes while I have a more permanent job. The big "quick dams" from the hardware store worked great, but they're bulky and usually work with a shot or something. These "new newts" are smaller, and while they don't absorb moisture as well as larger newts, they have the advantage of being reusable. Previously we'd spin a few soaked ones (two at a time) into the washer, then remove the almost completely dry "pigs" and run…

  • All right!

  • worries me

We deal with puddles in the corner of our garage by the door, and if you live in Minnesota it can be a real puddle after a heavy snowfall. They were just shots in the dark, but they saved lives until we figured out how to re-angle them. We used one on each side at an angle to keep the water out and rolled two more into the corner on the worst side. The absorbed snow melted, froze into a nice barrier, and then thawed again as it got warmer. No puddles. And this spring we will wash and dry them…

An absolute lifesaver during a tropical storm!

Tropical Storm Eta recently hit South Florida. When Eta landed at the Keys, it was more like a hurricane. The pouring rain was so heavy that the water completely filled the guides in our impact resistant sliding glass doors and couldn't run back. Water simply rushed into the house on the ground, causing flooding. Although we used the wet vacuum to suck up most of the water, too much wind and rain banged against the doors to stop the flow. Then I remembered I bought these Pig absorbent socks to…

  • Newer model could have been selected

Like most garages, mine slopes toward the top door (the driveway) and an inside corner. I brought a New Pig PIG105-BL absorbent sock that is mildew resistant to prevent water from pooling in that corner. others walk along the wall. That way I was hoping to prevent water from entering that corner. Washed my car with a pump sprayer producing about .77 GPM and watched the water run to the back of the garage, hit the toe of the PIG105-BL and move to the right. Under him. In the end, you guessed it,

Funny name, great product

Love, love, love. This item did exactly what I hoped it would. Without being pretentious, after 12 years we have finally renovated our vintage vertical cocaine machine. After spending a lot of money and seeing how cool this thing looks, I didn't want to just send it to the garage. So we brought it inside, to our office. We didn't realize how noisy it was, let alone the amount of condensation that formed. Hence the need for these absorbent socks. The coca machine has a tube through which the…
