Great for a quick patch

Silky fabrics. Simply apply to the area to be corrected. Great colors. Whether they are durable remains to be seen.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Not the best

Perfect for a costume!

I cut squares out of them to glue on my daughter's jacket for Halloween. Adhered perfectly but not too much that I couldn't adjust once or twice. A good choice of colors too!

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Works great until repaired item is washed

Easy to apply and does a good job of patching small holes in my nylon down jacket. However, my wife washed the jacket and most of the patch came off, requiring another patch to be repaired.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Waiting time too long

These patches work fantastic!

We had a raincoat and down jacket with small holes and imperfections. The color patches (orange and sage) matched perfectly. The plasters stick very well and stay in place for +2 months. Far exceeded our expectations. Great Value!

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Easy to repair

Falls apart when washed

Adhesive sticks well to accordion but not nylon pad. The first time it was used in a front loading machine on a normal cycle, warm wash, cold rinse, the patch fell off leaving only sticky white glue on the accordion. It is difficult to remove even with acetone. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Availability in exchange

Useful items to keep on hand

My son tore a hole in his new down jacket the first day he wore it. We received multicolored packaging so we can match the red as best as possible. It served its purpose - we both forgot about the breakup. It blended well enough and stuck to the nylon. Shortly after we fixed the hole in his vest, we patched the hole in our inflatable snowman. These patches are good to have on hand.

Pros
  • Crafts and sewing
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I find patches useless.

No instructions. First, it is almost impossible to separate the backing from the patch fabric with fingernails or tweezers. In the end it was found that Scotch Magic Tape could be used to separate the layers. This difficulty meant the patches would be permanent. However, those significantly larger than the holes in two cotton shirts did not hold up well in the wash. Overall I consider them a waste of money and too much work to return.

Pros
  • Sewing tools
Cons
  • Brief instructions

Wow! Works great. Take it off and put it on!

Wow! Works great. Take it off and put it on! Burned a LARGE irregular hole (about the size of a small orange or large lemon) in my favorite jacket using the sleeves as pot holders while the smoke alarm was about to go off. I ordered that. in difficult places, the sleeves reach with ruffles to the cuffs. No problem! My jacket is back in business! I peeled off the foil, stuck it on like a sticker and that's it! I cut out a third of the dark blue. Much less noticeable than in the picture. My cell…

  • So far so good
