Bad Sandbox: Small Animals

Endless sand outlet through cap connection. We do not recommend this product. I'm sure it's great for other uses, but we literally threw it in the trash.

came dirty? suitable for small animals

Arrived dirty! Has this product been used by anyone else? I was able to clean it and attach it to the cage wall with slats for extra strength. Should work fine once I get over the gross factor of it looking used

Pros
  • MAKE YOUR PET HAPPY
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Used item in Home & Living

Good size but looks like it has been used before. Has not been cleaned. It's got all that garbage dust on it and even more sticky stains on a little spatula. Clear plastic has scratches. Looks like a hamster made it with its claws.

It's worth your money

My hamster loves his potty, I put sand in it and he loves to run in it. It's brand new and not scratched at all contrary to what I've read in other reviews. The only downside is that it's quite difficult to close the lid to make sure my hamster doesn't fall over on the sand if it's not properly closed.

Pros
  • SAFE MATERIALS
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Too small for a Syrian hamster

I bought one for my female Syrian hamster. Once she climbed in and barely managed to get out. She moved to a new corner for her bathroom. This week I took the top off and put it in the corner it moved to, now it's back in the first corner. It's clear she doesn't like it. Probably fine for a dwarf hamster (if the hamster is friendly), but it will definitely be small for Syrians, gerbils and rats. In addition, the cover is difficult to remove from the base for cleaning.

Pros
  • COMFORTABLE
Cons
  • Not bad but...
