Bestfilament PLA plastic (polylactide) is made from various organic products: potatoes, maize, fodder beet, sugarcane, etc. It is considered the most environmentally friendly material. When printing, it will not emit unpleasant odors.
Natural PLA is transparent and colorable. Polylactide is a very strong and tough material. However, this material is the most undemanding for 3D printing. He doesn''t need a heated bed or a closed print chamber. Therefore, it is best to print large objects from it.
PLA products are smoother than ABS, but PLA is not very easy to sand.
The softening temperature of PLA is 50 °C, and products printed from this plastic are unsuitable for situations where high operating temperatures are possible. The PLA bath is usually made from dichloromethane or ethyl acetate. It is recommended to use epoxy resin for bonding parts.
Recommended print settings for PLA Bestfilament: Extruder: 205-235 degrees.
Platform: 60 degrees.
