The buttons and joystick of the controller are like new and work normally. However, the battery was completely shot. It could hold a charge for 20 minutes before running out again. Not recommended for the price.

I was thrilled when my new PS3 controller arrived. But I'm having a hard time with it. I've noticed that the controller sometimes acts on its own. He also accidentally switched off. I'm not sure if I just got a bad one or not.

Controller failed after 1 month. It gets very hot and won't charge or work. I had to disconnect the battery to keep the control board from melting from self-heating. However, it looks like DS4 will run on PS3, so I'll switch to that.

I've had trouble finding a decent PS3 controller. So I took a chance and grabbed this one, "updated". It looks and feels like a new controller! Much better than I expected. Definitely worth the risk. Let's hope the controller works well. So far, so good.

Now I have 6 PS3 controllers doing the same thing. When playing Madden (16 and 17), the controlled player begins jumping over the entire creation without touching a single button. (in defense) I'm walking towards a passerby so I press left stick down and he starts jumping on random players so my DBs get out of position then they all open up. Almost every pass is a touchdown. Controllers don't start out that way, they're good for a few weeks, but everything I've had started with them eventually.

Do not buy. I bought the controller as a Christmas present for my sister to replace her old controller that had died. The incoming controller would only turn on when wired to the PS3. Even after charging overnight (with my own micro-USB cable, which I've verified works), the controller wouldn't hold a charge and would shut down as soon as I unplugged it. As this controller has been refurbished I have some concerns. It arrived in "good" condition, but the controller definitely felt heavily used and unreliable. Difficult to explain but seems like it was definitely opened, taken apart and put back together in the past. There are also signs of wear on both handles. I bought it to be a little cheaper than new but I don't know. I'm starting to think maybe I should have invested in a new one. I also bought a Revain product warranty for it so I figure…
