The unit was listed as used in good condition. The item sent was defective. The right speaker didn't work at all. The sound from the left speaker was slightly distorted. The right button on the d-pad only registered when pressed very hard and although it was inconsistent making it unusable during gameplay.

It arrived very quickly, great Vita model, it's a good update. I also have a 1000 and always found the colors to be a bit over-saturated and the screen brightness never dimmed enough for playing in low light. However, on the Vita Slim screen, colors look much more natural and better. I find the Vita Slim has a better screen than the 1000 model. As for the khaki/black version, I had no problems setting it up in English, I inserted a memory card and started all my games and everything is fine…

If you have any doubts about buying a Vita, you should buy it. This Japanese previous model, US version, white, black, pink, blue, whatever. It's worth it. I play it all the time and use it everywhere. I got this because I couldn't find a US version for a decent price, so I figured if I paid extra for one I might as well get one that's different from everyone else's, just the black ones.
