This is a decent product and it will work. But if you work on diesel trucks and trailers every day, you will find that many trucks and trailers have different types of brakes that don't have a hole in the middle, or they have brake caps, or they are new air disc brake system. But it's a good tool to have in the box.

Great little tool for truck and trailer technicians. Provides you with accurate measurements without bulky calipers or small rulers and eliminates schematic guesswork. Small enough that the suspension components don't get in the way. Very thick and strong, with permanently etched markings. I've been using it for less than a week and have used it a dozen times already.

I work as a PMS technician for a waste disposal company. And it goes in all right, but on the other hand I get to the rear axle, I screwed up because the tool is too long to take readings. The one I had before was half the length. Just before you buy, be sure to check the gap length before you have a tool that you can use half the time.
