This is a replacement for RC 5, not RC 6. This product is missing the key remote control feature which is a 2 second delay. The one thing you can avoid when shooting is to always indicate that the camera is using live view mode with autofocus enabled. Due to the nature of Live View mode, Live View has to be turned off for a second to get autofocus. Thankfully, due to an unintended design, you only have a very short amount of time to take your hand off the camera.

This is false advertising! I ordered the product and received it in a few days for my Rebel XS. I couldn't get it to work or couldn't find anything in my manual to help me (the instructions say to refer to your manual) so I called Canon. The rep explained that the XSi has wireless capabilities, but only wired remotes will NOT work with it. What annoys me the most is that it's not just listed as XS on the Revain website, it's actually ON THE PRODUCT PACKAGING. Polaroid will get a call from me!

The remote control does what it is supposed to do, sends a signal to the camera to take a picture. HOWEVER, you must point at the camera to activate it, and it will click before you can return your hand. I see my hand pointing at the camera in all my photos. I can't set it on a timer. Some reviews indicated that it should be installed in the camera. I am using the new Canon T4i and cannot find such features. There is no timer on the remote control itself!
