🌡️ Silver Polder Grill Surface Thermometer Review

Follow all the advice from the reviews, do not buy the product! It broke on first use. At first it read correctly, then it read 1/3 of the actual temperature, I thought I was out of gas in the pan but it was just a broken thermometer. Very disappointing.

This little instrument was one of the best grill thermometers we have used in our shop. Durable and reliable. It's built to last and we've used and abused it for several months without issue. We have never had a better thermometer for our flat grill.

I bought this little bad boy as soon as we got our pan and had no idea how to check the temperature 😅 This thermometer was installed on the grill surface and removed to clean it. Works great and helps a lot when cooking new recipes that require specific temperatures. Really a must for every pan owner!

I tried to carefully assess how difficult or easy it would be to read a number of similar products in product images and chose this product for its simplicity. Unfortunately, the numbers are thinner than they could (and should) be, making them harder to read than I'd like. However, the wire clamp is very handy for moving and positioning on a hot grill.

I bought two and removed the hooks to secure them to the grill surface so I can move them while cooking. I wonder how different the surface temperature is from the hood thermometer. I chose these because they had the nicest dial and I was pleased with the solid build quality. While not a problem for me, note that heat can discolor the metal.

What a useless piece of junk. I bought this to measure the surface temperature of my Blackstone griddle. It's beyond slow. After 10 minutes, the reading is below 300 degrees Fahrenheit, while my Fluke 62 non-contact thermometer reads over 500 degrees. Raven sent me a replacement. It's the same story. What a piece of shit. Edit: I forgot to mention that Revane didn't want to return "defective". Thumbs up Revane! I really wanted to like this device.
