I've always loved grenades but hated the mess. This device works very well! The only difference is that I tapped it gently with meat mallet instead of a spoon and it worked better! I also liked the juicer that comes with this purchase.

This product probably works better than removing pomegranate seeds by hand. The process is quick and easy. You still have to pick some white flakes from the pot. The item looks beautiful and I have washed it in the dishwasher several times with no problems. I have never used a citrus press.

I followed the directions and didn't drop a single seed. Maybe I would have had more success if I had used a hammer instead of a spoon. I've found that I can hand-process 6 pomegranates in under 15 minutes by simply removing the crown and cutting them in half. Don't waste money on it. I will definitely come again.

Better for smaller pomegranates. It needs a little lube to hit it, but not too much as the cap is easily damaged. It is better to use a wooden bucket for this. Sometimes you don't need a cap and just hit a grenade straight ahead. I would recommend this as a way to remove pomegranate seeds.

I started eating pomegranate for its antioxidant properties. My daughter bought me this gadget, it became much easier to get the seeds with it. I hit it with a meat mallet I have on hand, it can knock out most of the seeds. The lid also prevents juice from splashing. I use it almost every day. The design is promising but not all of the pomegranate skins are released as described when the fruit is cut in half. It crushes the top ones when the spoon hits them, but the hits don't loosen them.
