Nice addition to the pontoon boat

The second set. We only got about 2 1/2 years of life from the first set and that was only with occasional weekend use on our pontoon, but we believe they will stand up to the weather all summer (stored indoors in winter). This is much nicer than lifting a wet, dirty anchor and getting on the boat so that they hang over the edge and don't mess up the boat.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • Almost never happens

It is also very nice that there is no pile of rope inside.

Fishing on rivers that haven't completely calmed down proved quite difficult when it came time to drop anchor. This winch saved me a lot of time and effort getting the boat started again. Not having a bunch of ropes in the boat is also very nice. For the price if you have the space and even half the need for it I would suggest buying it. 5 stars all the time "said my back".

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Disappearing

Unreliable when towing objects and winch

Bought a new pontoon boat in Feb 2020 and installed 2 of them front and aft with remote controls. Both devices connected the same way and worked fine for a while. Went fishing 3-4 times and raised and lowered anchors maybe 2 dozen times. I use 15 pound anchors. The front block no longer works. Fuse, battery and wiring checked, all ok. The winch motor just stopped working. Very limited use and small anchor. I don't know what to do but I'm very disappointed with it.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No power

Works best with winches

After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant but realized that Revain had my back. My pontoon didn't have room for it on the back deck so I took a 24 inch piece of aluminum extrusion and attached it to the motor mount. The device pulled my 25 pound anchor off the bottom of our muddy lake with no difficulty. it's really a burden. I'm currently working with the tip switch on the device, but I'm considering an auxiliary switch. I've driven it up and down over 50 times in the last week. no…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

Unreliable good for external accessories

In February 2020 I bought a new pontoon boat and installed 2 of them front and rear with remote controls.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Not all will fit

I bought two, one is still in the box. Hurricane Michael kept us away until last week. The fourth time, lifting the 20-pound anchor, the engine died. Checked, the motor has power. Went to Pontoon's Facebook page to ask if anyone else had the issue. There were several answers, all bad. Would love to come back and buy a better pontoon windlass. Attempts to call TRAC, message says voicemail is full, hang up. Revane has my email address. sonandersonsr866@gmail.com

Pros
  • While I'm satisfied
Cons
  • There are some nuances

It's more the nature of Revain's customer service representatives

I bought one of these which was described as defective and was on sale at a reduced price. When it got to my house it was damaged, broken and unusable. After calling Revane Prime and explaining to the rep what was going on, he refunded my money without question and was as kind as he could be and understood the predicament I was in. Thanks to the people who work for this company. As for the product itself, I can't say for sure, but from what I've seen it's a nice, compact, and easy-to-use device

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No
