We bought this rug to teach our 2 children that there are consequences for their actions. This was the best timeout mat we came across. The design and the size really convinced us when we bought it.

I love this rug. I bought it for my puppy. I wanted something to train them and I wanted it to be portable. That's great! It's bright and durable. It's also easy to clean and conveniently folds to pack in a small bag for easy portability.

I'm not sure if this is necessary and I don't think my child understands what it symbolizes yet, but I think it's cool and I love the fact that it's portable. At the moment we are using it in our packaging and playing for a child who is almost 2 years old. It's been thrown out of the box and played, but we're working on it. The material is like a mouse pad.

I bought this because my almost 3 year old twins are a handful especially my little boy. He spent days climbing around in closets and I had to find a way to discipline him. He settled in quickly! His twin sister also had to serve time for throwing away food. Right now I'm doing 1 minute because it's brand new, but if I need to keep using it for the same reasons I'll increase the time.

This time we bought a mat hoping for consequences for our baby. If he disobeys multiple times, we put him on a 30 second timeout and then explain why we're putting him on the mat. Next time he does this we will ask him why we brought him to the point of thought and he will tell what he did wrong. The carpet makes a very good impression.
