A strong smell can be bad or good depending on your preference. I say it's okay. All indicators are environmentally friendly. I use in RV now. No complaints.

I purchased an "adult" portable potty and purchased this product to reduce odor. It works, it not only reduces the smell but also eliminates it. A word of caution: it will stain. Be careful to protect the area where you plan to plant it after use (in case of drops or rings). Don't worry about outdoors. I'm glad I bought it!

Find the best product - really. First, it's a horribly blue dye liquid. Anything you fall on will turn blue forever. Second, it just stinks horribly. That made me choke. I ended up throwing it away because I waited too long for it to be returned, but only after staining the cabinet fronts in the bathroom on wheels when water was dripping from the container. Epic failure.

This product smells nice in a nice deodorant bottle. But use it in our small 5 gallon portable pot. It doesn't work that well. We don't do #2 in our pot. We've used other products that we've added in the past and have never sniffed our pan. But this stuff won't mask the smell even if the pot is 1/2 full.
