I used this thing to fasten Tapcon screws in my basement to support the walls and let me tell you it's very good at what it does. So good that I have to be careful not to go too far to break the TapCon head. The drill is extremely loud so be prepared for that when you use it, but it also packs a HUGE amount of torque behind it. I had a relatively small project: drilling a driveway to secure Shelter Logic's garage. I was really amazed and pleased at how the combination of this hammer drill bit and the Dewalt Rock Carbide SDS Plus hammer bit set drilled very clean, consistent holes in cement. It seemed easier to get a wood drill through cement than wood. I liked how the handle is attached to the front and found the depth gauge very useful. Bought for several projects this summer. Used it in high speed mode with a buffer wheel, in low speed mode with a hole saw to drill a dozen 3" holes in a 3/8" thick sheet of carbon steel. Using a low speed and a bi-metal hole saw blade with cutting oil helped. Have also used it for other smaller projects but this should give prospective buyers some perspective.
