So far, so good. Installed and seems to be working as it should. Suggest you also buy a new rubber ring that goes around the air line and then goes to the head. You don't know what to do twice. The other gasket is not included in this kit and must also be purchased and is expensive for a gasket. The spirit was destroyed and disassembled. Total cost was $20 and 1 hour repair if you have the right tools.

This is not a direct/exact replacement for the original. November 1, 2014 KCB check was correct, no o-ring groove. I'm sending it back. Do you think this will be fixed in 1 1/2 years? I have a CF1400 porter cable and this part number should be a direct replacement. I would be wary of trying to get the same seal with no o-ring groove as the original.

The compressor was originally only supposed to produce 20-30psi, I opened it up and noticed some of the valves were broken. I replaced it with this one and now it builds 60psi. After further research I think I need a cylinder kit to replace the cheap plastic ring in the cylinder. Previous reviews have said this valve plate does not fit porter cable (no o-ring etc) and does not fit. I have a Porter Cable CF2600 and although the plate doesn't look right (no o-ring groove) it fits. This plate does not contain an O-ring, but does contain a different seal. I installed the CF2600 as shown in the YouTube-Fix.com video (the video also used this plate) and it fits and holds the pressure. So all in all this plate is a good replacement for the original Porter Cable valve plate.
