🚲 Portland Design Works Sparrow Bicycle Cage Review

Very well processed, great functional design and great colour. My wife loves them. They're a little heavier than CF or Ti cells, but not enough to make a difference. It was an amazing purchase and made my wife's Ti bike even cooler.

THIS LITTLE BABY IS SO CUTE! I just got the bike because I'm dying to learn to ride it, so of course I need to personalize it and make it my own. When I saw this little guy I knew I had to have him, other cages aren't my style. was pretty easy to install and looks great.

Well made, heavier than I expected. Easy installation in just a few minutes. I have polished my 16 ounce insulated bottle to perfection but I can see where it can scratch the bottle over time. Looks cooler than pictured and got lots of compliments on my first ride with it. All in all, this is a great purchase. I might need one for my scooter too :)

wow. It's NOT copper, it's orange. I bought this to match my beach bike's brass bell and helmet. Needless to say, there is no consensus. nope Undertones are off. I had to buy another one and am stuck with an orange gizmo that I don't need. I can't return it because I don't have a label printer. Too bad. I'm poorer now.

I really like this bottle cage. I think it will be very difficult for my soft water bottle to fall out of it. Mountain paths or uneven roads are no problem. It looks good too, only problem is my SS water bottles scratch or rattle a bit so I only use the soft side bottle. I have been impressed with every item I have from this company. Top shelf item.

Saw this a few years ago and couldn't wait to get it. Now that I have a bike with bottle cage mounting points, this was one of my first accessory orders. The matte silver color looks amazing on my blue bike. It works well for small retail water bottles and narrower hard wall bottles. The wings flex and spread to accommodate. I don't want to bend it often - pick one bottle size and stick to it and I think it will last.

There are two options - this one has cut out wings, no raisins. They come with frame screws, pretty sturdy and very pretty. They're matte black and appear to be anodized, so the finish should hold up well. They hold "normal" and large vacuum flasks very well. It is easy to take off and put on on the go, and you can gently bend the "wings" to your liking. I was looking for a unique bottle cage for my custom bike and this one was perfect for me. I really only needed to save the batteries for the light. I usually use a hydrator for water needs. Although I wanted it to be a crow, this black sparrow is good. Other patterns and colors of birds also attract attention. When I bought my new bike I went down the rabbit hole of bottle cages and stumbled across Portland Design Works and then found a sparrow. I had to have it immediately as my last name is associated with a bird and because my bike looks like it has little Hermes wings on the side. Besides, it's just really cool.
