I've been doing cross stitching for 7 years. I really like this set because it is made of high quality fabric and fun to make. It's not as boring as some of the other kits and I still enjoy spending time with it during quarantine. My only recommendation is to buy pens that wash off with water. So if you get them wet, the ink will disappear.

When I finally started this project I had a blast. Be sure to do this in the light, the difference between the colors is subtle. Overall this is a beautiful pattern and I can't wait to finish and frame it. While not a big deal I took off 1 star because there is an error in the chart which was very disappointing and I wanted to make sure people know: COLUMN 2 ONLY HAS 9 SQUARE AVERAGE. Either I got a bad load of floss or I have higher expectations than most. The fabric is decent, generally flat and fairly stiff. hand is terrible. The most uneven color I've ever seen. I had a chaff in one of my subjects. The thread binds, folds and sheds unlike anything I've ever used. I even had a strand that crumbled from rubbing against the fabric. He also tends to click after binding. I didn't even tighten it enough, I haven't sewn in 30 years, I have a few stitches that get lost after…

edition 7/2020 - I finished the embroidery and it's great! Like the final look. I have to say that I didn't know how many stitches before I bought it - I didn't realize that a different number of Aida stitches is a thing! This set is 16k (compared to the 11k in many starter sets). I am now starting another Mount Fuji set and am looking forward to having a few finished paintings framed and hung on the wall.
