It's nice to connect your phone with extra USB ports.

Splitter is cool! It's nice to be able to connect your phone to the extra USB ports along with the lamp. Very convenient to use.

No Over Current Protection

I used my wattmeter and ran it at 17+ amps for five minutes and the breaker didn't trip. It's rated at 13 amps, so either there's no over-current protection, or it's set so high that it's useless.

Extender with USB 5V/2.4Ax3

Very disappointed because it says USB 5V/2.4Ax3. The back of the unit says USB 3.4A max, so it doesn't provide power for two 2.1A products (phone and tablet) as I needed. Now I have to look again for one that is 4.2A. To say it's 2.4A by 3 is very misleading and simply not true so I paid extra for this port compared to the one that says one port is 2.4A and the other two are 1A. Nicely made and right size but fooled by wrong current capacity. Shelf life unknown.

USB total maximum current is 6A (30W), not 2.4A x 6 (6*2.4A) or 5V at 2.4A each.

The seller would have the Part of the information should be included in the description that this device only supplies all USB ports with a total current of 6.0 A. I've been led to believe that if you're only getting 2.4A of power on two of the 6 USB ports, it's 2.4A max delivered to each USB port (i.e. 72W total or 14.4A), where all 6 USB ports are loaded and it is possible. On the plus side was the fast delivery and the product was well packaged. I don't know if the overcurrent switch will…

Brilliant! Electronics

I use this strip to charge a few electronic devices, as well as to power an alarm clock and some items on my desk. Doesn't get hot, and even with multiple ports, I don't see any drop in performance on any of my devices, even a particularly sensitive light table that tends to flicker with other USB ports. I couldn't help but giggle, too. in the instructions that informed me to avoid "shock and break" the extension cord.
