I have been using tools like this to remove the trunk for many years. These are replacement parts but seem a bit cheaper than the old ones I have, namely lighter materials and a loose rivet on the swivel. Although I think they will be fine.

These pliers suck. One of the plastic handles had broken off the packaging. On the first and only use, both handles completely broke and detached from the pliers and the metal frame buckled. Needless to say, the spark plug wire lug didn't move.
