Works great but battery life sucks

I've used this many times and no complaints about the tool performance but the battery life sucks. I had to change the batteries every time I used it (don't use it every day maybe 1 time a week). At first I thought I hadn't turned it off so I called it my bad, made sure it was second to sixth time I used it

Pros
  • Hands free use
Cons
  • Has flaws

A nice feature is the ability to see the torque increase.

I bought this to test the accuracy of my "clicking" torque wrench. Works as expected for a $30 tool. A nice feature is that I can see the increase in torque as I reach the set setting. Maybe in the next version the horn will keep sounding after reaching the target torque instead of being silenced. The tool confirms my torque wrench setting to be plus or minus 5%, a variation due to how consistent you can tighten with a torque wrench.

Pros
  • Handy Item
Cons
  • No

Try another brand

The first one came with a dead battery. After changing the battery, the torque reading proved accurate, but the beeper letting you know when the preset torque value was reached was AWOL. So I sent it back and got a replacement. The second point was the same or, if possible, worse. Again, the included batter lasted around 20 seconds, and where the original's sonic function squeaked from time to time, the second was completely silent. There are several other options. Take her.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Modern

Ideal for calibrating torque wrenches!

Nice little case, torque readings seem accurate. I tested the new top torque wrench I have and they correlate with each other. I used this to calibrate another torque wrench I had over 20% lower! I almost lost a tire because my nuts weren't tight enough, so I decided to invest in this little digital torque reader. I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it to anyone who wants/needs to calibrate for higher torque. Wrench (I used 50-250 ft-lbs).

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are issues

about 1/3 of 1% accuracy. very happy with this purchase.

really excellent. Check Peak Torque or hear a beep and the green LED flashes at 80% of the set torque and then another beep and the red LED flashes at 100% of the set torque. I used this to test torque to put my nuts on a Nissan Xterra. I set the unit to pounds/feet. I then set the device to a target torque of 98 lb-ft. at approximately 80 LB/FT the green LED will flash and a pair of beeps will sound, at 98 the red LED will flash and a continuous beep will sound. Great tool, easy to use. I like

Works well - both clockwise and counterclockwise

Seems to work well. Accuracy when tested with my beam and click types. Also note that although the description and user manual do not mention the ability to measure counter-clockwise (for left-hand screws), measurements are taken in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. I contacted All Trade Tools regarding this and received a very quick response. The only reason the CCW direction is not mentioned is that it has not been specifically calibrated or certified in the CCW direction. Butโ€ฆ
