ALUMINUM CONSTRUCTION: This heavy duty straight edge was engineered with lightweight anodized metal providing long-term durability and protection from everyday wear and abrasion. VERSATILE: Can be used as a straight edge guide for machines, drafting tool, drawing bar, or even to check cylinder head distortion - the possibilities are endless. SCALE: Straight edge ruler measures out to 18 inches long, 2 inches wide, with a 5/16” measuring surface width, and is equipped with a dual sided metric and standard ruler measurement system.

Excellent quality: measuring and marking tools

Very high quality ruler at a reasonable price. I have used this item for leveling dressing tables. It will be handy to have in store for other various uses of the lineup. I would recommend without question.

Great price great tool

This purchase was made because I needed a proper ruler in my fledgling wood shop. This is inaccurate for my purposes and the price was phenomenal. Powertec is a brand with a good reputation. This good reputation made me decide to purchase it, despite the lack of previous reviews to base a decision on. I am very happy!

If only they had put the same level of precision into the scale as into the machining.

First of all I would like to say that I was very excited about this product and my first impression was "Wow, this thing is strong and straight like a laser". Heavy but not bulky. A great feeling. And the form factor has been well thought out for different ergonomics. Unfortunately. The measurements are NOT accurate. The printed scales (at least on the one I received) do not butt against the edge of the metal, leaving a 1mm gap. Also, the scale goes out too (according to my calipers) - so…
