The company tries, but the product does not meet my needs.

I find the display very difficult to read. The company's instructions/manual are useless to me. They couldn't give me much useful information but they tried and then refunded my money. 2 stars for that. This was the second controller we bought when this brand and both had the same issues.

Don't waste your money, it's dangerous!

It charged my 24v system but my batteries kept charging and recharging. I set it to stop charging at 28 volts and the high voltage alarm went off and luckily I found it at 32.3 and switched off my solar panels before they melted. The charge controller itself has reached too high a temperature to touch.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Reliable

Faulty and inappropriate design.

Disappointed. The LCD is intermittent, although it functionally charges the battery even when the LCD pauses. The wire slots are too narrow and too small. The correct recommended wire size could never fit there. The planner obviously did not think of the standard use of solar energy. Rated 60A but only <1000W so only supports 3 of my panels.

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • Not the best

Great Product - Generators and Portable Power Supplies

The product works well and is easy to set up and easy to understand how to use with a modest IQ. No backlight, which would be nice, but how often do you need it? Except in a dark barn, you just need to see how much electricity you put out during the day. At night you are on battery power or don't use your panels. Once a month you should write down and compare your values. This is a new breed of controller for me, so I'll see what happens with the heat build-up on the next 100 degree day.

  • There are other interesting options.

Mine burned out after 3 hours in 80 degree weather.

Instructions were pretty useless, had to watch tons of YouTube videos how long to hold the set button. Feels quite flimsy but for the price I think it's value for money. I had it on a 1100w panel for an hour outside of testing my setup. It was about 80 degrees max and I came back and everything was fuzzy and fuzzy. I know you're considering keeping it indoors, but it was for testing purposes and shouldn't have burned in this weather. 100 degrees then yes I expect it. I got my money back and…

Didn't work with power regulators

I ordered this charge regulator and when I tested it it wasn't charging properly. The controller draws 20 volts and only charges the battery up to 12.2 volts. This causes the load on the system to drop below an acceptable level and the inverter shuts down thinking the battery is low. The charge controller also failed to read the current. I didn't test this charge controller until after the return window was closed, so I can't comment on the cons of things. I bought an MPPT charge controller…
