I just wiped the surface with a cloth and a small area brush but this thing is excellent. I have had this item for many years, it is quite old so looks brand new! These are before and after photos.

I have a centuries old table with brass legs and this polish brought it back to life in 10 minutes. The legs were more tarnished than I expected and I will probably have to use the copper polish as instructed but wow - what a difference!

I used to use Noxon and Brasso but Brasso has lost effectiveness due to an apparent formula change. This stuff is AWESOME! I have a lot of antique brass in my home and am very happy to have found this excellent product. Transforms things from matte to glossy without much friction. Oooh!

This is magic! It turns black and you need to buff the black until you are left with this beautiful mirror copper beauty. This will be my route to the cleaner/polisher. The second photo is of my sink that has been "cleaned" with regular cleaner and the first photo is after using Hopes Brass Polish. You can see the difference!
