Use a heavy duty 36mm or 1+7/16 open end wrench. A large hammer hit straight down then released to loosen it.

IN HOT WEATHER ABOVE 85 DEGREES AT HIGH SPEED AUTOMATICALLY LOCKS OUT AND ENGAGES THE CLUTCH AND TAKES UP 30 PERCENT OF ENGINE POWER. I HAD TO GET OFF AND RIDE ON STRONG ROADS. DO NOT BUY. PURCHASED HAYDON MADE IN USA WORKS PERFECTLY.
