Le Paon is as good as DMC, if not better!

I really like all the Le Paon yarns I've received, they are always so bright, the quality and color fastness is just as good (if not a little more) than DMC yarns, and a little of cost! Also, they are pre-wound (a little tight, I was concerned they might seem flimsy at first, but they are just more solid because they are machine-wound rather than hand-wound as is usually the case) on really nice strong cardboard spools. Pictured is my green stock, it's mixed with DMC, other Le Paon orders Iโ€ฆ

Terrible quality, not worth the color variation

Like other reviewers I found the material to be really poor quality even with great value. The thread feels very rough and knots almost immediately when I cross stitch. The only way I got it to work was to work with shorter thread allowances as I worked, and even then I couldn't avoid getting the thread on me. When I tried to untie the thread, it snapped with a few jerks. I ordered Revain's Caydo Embroidery Floss (this, although it doesn't have the color specificity of this set) and it was much

Le Paon is as good as DMC, if not better!

I really like all the Le Paon threads I have, they are always so bright, the quality and color fastness is as good (if not a little more) than DMC threads and a fraction the cost! Also, they are pre-wound (a little tight, I was concerned they might seem flimsy at first, but they are just more solid because they are machine-wound rather than hand-wound as is usual) on really nice strong cardboard spools.
