The relief valve is designed to prevent pressure build up and when opened to relieve pressure. But I couldn't fix it. The threads were really thin. It didn't look like the original Prestige product at all. Please repair it immediately, otherwise the person using this for cooking may get hurt/burned. The threads slip through easily and the safety valve opens. Thank you for your attention. .

The valve on my 1.5L Prestige pressure cooker burst and punctured so I ordered it and it fit perfectly and the pressure cooker worked .

I installed this and cooked on the pressure cooker about 4-5 times. That works fine. I know after long cooking it will have holes in the middle like last time. So I don't expect this to happen throughout the life of the record. Other than that, I'm glad it works and will serve my purpose for a long time before I have to buy another valve.

Just had the pleasure of watching this safety valve at work.
