🐦 Prevue Pet Oversized Wood Platform Shelf - Model 3203 Review

Cheap - mostly cork wood. Was broken when it arrived. Deformed - we sanded it and re-glued it with heavy duty glue and then clamped it. It really wasn't worth the effort - it just popped out when we were trying to hang it yesterday. Ah, lesson learned.

VERY cheaply made. He is extremely spongy. My chinchilla broke it by jumping on it once. We didn't even set it up in 5 minutes. I don't know where it gets 4* from because anything bigger than a mouse breaks quickly. Save money and buy another shelf.

4 stars only because it came without fasteners. However, I was able to attach it and the product works great for my degu. He chews on it a lot and it won't last forever, but it gives him more room to explore in his cage. It's easy to clean, just wipe and go.

This product is perfect for my purposes. I have ringed pigeons (that don't chew) and they love using platforms to rest and sleep. They are also strong enough to easily support the weight of food and water bowls. I have three Prevue platforms in her (also Prevue) flight cage and they have many uses!

Would have given a higher rating but it came without the hardware to install it. To avoid the hassle of returning and waiting for a replacement, we will try to purchase replacement parts ourselves. It is sad that the package arrived in complete safety, but the person who made the order could not see that the plastic on the product was torn and the accessories were not included. I've included a photo to show that the smaller shelf (which also has a crack in the plastic) has the correct details.

Our chinchilla liked a similar shelf, smaller than this one but also after 7 days a small wedge shaped support at the bottom of the shelf that was only glued down, and the shelf itself just popped out of a groove in the back support. We've tested all the others we've bought from this company and they all have the same issue to some extent.
