The main criterion for a vinyl player is to spin discs stably without errors and vibrations, with which this unit does an excellent job. I don’t have the opportunity to measure the rotation error at speeds of 33 and 45 due to the lack of this experience, however, I don’t hear any deviations in the sound when playing one song both on vinyl and digitally on a PC. I use a turntable with a Pro-Ject Phono Box DS2 phono stage, an Ortofon 2M-Black pickup and Klipsch The Fives acoustics - the flight is

Pros
  • Possibility of detailed and, in principle, simple settings of the player; damped motor drive; massive acrylic platter; easy height adjustment of the legs; switching speed from 33 to 45 by pressing a button; the ability to set the speed to 78 with an additional complete belt (which has a round cross section); excellent complete RCA cables with ground terminal; massive; relative compactness; the presence of a dust cover; the presence of a felt mat, which can not be used; the presence of a speed switch key (which, in principle, is not needed here); other useful equipment (template for setting up a pickup, an adapter for records with a large central hole); clear instructions with high-quality illustrations; flashing speed indicators show the moment of engine spin-up; thick MDF table material.
Cons
  • Inconvenient adjustment of the height of the tonearm; three options for setting anti-skating (with hanging weight); downforce gradation is indicated with a large error (it is desirable to adjust downforce with electronic scales); when fully closed, the lid touches the balance weight of the tonearm, from which the opposite end of the tonearm with the pickup rises and because of this it is impossible to listen to records with the lid closed (few people do this in practice, but I warn you).

Very nice.: Home audio

That exhausted my budget. Really an investment. I like everything about it. Silence (except recording hiss) between tracks in headphones. I enjoy vinyl more than ever.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Vary 😊 happy in turntables and accessories

This should be the best value turntable, I prefer it to my Rega Planer 3. The included Sumiko cartridges are so good I have no need to upgrade. They sing, and the walnut base is beautiful, I never thought it was MDF

Pros
  • Absolutely brilliant!
Cons
  • Some little things

DOA turntable--won't turn on

Turntable won't turn on. The power supply was fine (I used the VOM to confirm) so it was something internal to the TT. Since I went through all the steps to install the components before finally trying to turn on the device, I advise you to check if it turns on before setting up. Revane was great as always and took it for free. I hope the next one I order works better

Pros
  • Principle: belt drive
Cons
  • Doubtful

X1 offers home audio

The Pro-ject X1 is beautiful both visually and sonically. I've never heard such dynamics from my speaker system before this player. This is my first turntable and setup was easy. The instructions are a little unclear, but watch a YouTube video or two and you'll be done. The seller is excellent. They were quick and polite to resolve the issue when I contacted them. You can't go wrong with this player! The installed Sumiko Rainier sounds pretty good, it has impressive bass response while still…

Pros
  • Speed: 33, 45, 78 (electronic speed change)
Cons
  • Little things

Great sounding turntable - new Rainer cartridge superb

Likes: Turntable speed control was a nice touch. No more pulleys between 33 and 45 rpm. A flat drive belt is used at these speeds. To play 78s you need to swap out the belt for a round one and use the bottom motor pulley. Setup was straightforward and much easier than my previous Project turntable. Setup is also made easier with the use of a platter weight/level and digital downforce sensor (purchased from Revain). The cartridge orientation is set at the factory. The new Rainer MM pickup sounds

Pros
  • Disc: 20mm thick 1.5kg acrylic
Cons
  • boring packaging
