I like that it's black. Sharpened blades also tend to warp due to the heat generated during sharpening. Every "sharpened" blade I get has problems. Just buy new blades, the ONLY ones I've never had a problem with.

The PM1000 blade is a good trimmer blade. prize awarded. I use it on my T-Outliner. Blade works perfectly. I bought a second knife. I know I will do more business. The price for the performance is unbeatable. PM1300 is a good blade. They cut and look great. Very good product. Maybe a little sharper, but definitely better than the factory one. The lighter and darker color is a nice finishing touch.

This blade comes a lot closer than the one that originally came with my Andis T Outliner. I don't understand why this type of blade is not made and shipped with the unit from the factory. Yes, I bought this a while ago and was disappointed. Seeing/hearing the description as snug, I thought the blade was properly adjusted, like a barber's. What I was looking for was something that would give a really sharp edge. I have the deep serrated version, these blades and the GTX blades are the best blades I have ever used. The difference is that with these woods I have nothing to do while with the GTX I have to do a few things. I am a trained hairstylist and have been cutting and trimming hair for over 15 years. It's really nice when I can just buy a blade, put it on and use it, and it cuts really well. The modified blade is a very good deep modification. I really can't believe the price.

I don't understand some of the negative reviews on here but I can give you my honest opinion of these blades. I've been cutting my hair with the original Andis Blades for about 6 months and to be honest they were a bit boring. I had to constantly go through the lines 3-4 times before it cut clean. I chose this blade after reading reviews saying it meets the same standards as ANDIS blades. ANDIS blades, Pro-Mate, actually feel a bit "harder". The only thing that doesn't work as well as an ANDIS blade is the shape of the hole, which doesn't really match and the driver doesn't sit in it. like ANDIS, this will result in a slight increase in noise, but don't be afraid that after turning it back, the driver will never come out of the socket.
