As a hesitant buyer, I decided to take a chance on this brooch in hopes of adding a unique touch to my Girls' Fashion wardrobe. However, I was sorely disappointed with the quality of the product. My analysis of this item showed that it was poorly made and cheaply constructed. The only positive I can give is that the design is somewhat unique. Overall, it's not worth the purchase and I would not recommend it to others.

The scales are well made, however the shank of the pin is only about 3/8 inch and therefore cannot be used as a bar for ties of any thickness. The shaft should be a bit longer (maybe 9 to 11mm).
