When I opened it I thought it was great: good looking, nice touch etc. The gold color is a nice champagne color and looks great on my desk. Definitely worth the money - until I tried it. While I didn't have any trouble moving the mouse pad like other reviewers, it messes up my mouse tracking a lot. I love both the color and the design of this product. The rim and beveled edge give it a premium look. However, if dirt gets on the mouse pad or the underside, it looks like it will scratch the pad. So far I haven't seen any damage, so the surface must be pretty hard, but that's not a reassuring feeling, so I've started cleaning the mouse and pad a lot more often.

I was so fed up with my traditional mouse pad constantly moving that I tracked it down. Well, it stands still - never moves, it's beautiful, and the gold hasn't been scratched yet, but unfortunately it's noisy. To be honest I didn't realize it until the client asked me what I was doing while we were on the phone. She said it sounded like I was cutting vegetables. Now I notice it more but I still like it more than my old one!

My friend had this mouse pad and loved it. So I got one from amazon. However, her face was smooth and clean. The one I received looked exactly the same in every way except for the texture. It was rough and rough. And when I use the mouse on it, it sounds like sandpaper. Works and looks as described. But in my opinion it just sounds terrible. I gave it to my mother because it wouldn't bother her as much as it did me.

The quality of the product has changed dramatically from one order to another. The first order was thicker, sewn more evenly and more durable. The second was sewn much worse, thinner and even tanned a little differently. I don't understand as it was the same product just ordered a few days apart. The first gets 4 stars, the second 1 or 2 for the price and quality. Disappointing.
