This product is too thin and fragile for the intended use. They cannot be gentle enough to prevent breakage. The attached photos show how the item arrived. Very disappointed - gladly again.

Although it will break if you press too hard, it leaves a clean line that's easy to erase. Don't throw away the pieces. They come in handy for making it harder to get to places. You will receive a large supply of different colors. It works better for me and I don't have to constantly sharpen my pencils.

The chalk works great. I always find one of the three colors that suits my fabric. It washes off easily when I'm done sewing. I complain that the supplier made little effort to send the goods in such a way that the parts were protected from breakage. Two of mine were broken into half inch pieces and all but the other two had chips.

However, the chalk is so dense that the edges of several pieces of chalk have chipped away, leaving a dull edge that leaves broad rather than thin marks; While this works for me, someone who wants to use them for fine work will need to find a way to sharpen the edges.
