The boots fit very well, there is a good curve in the ankle area

They are worth it. Medium sized quarter horse. The boots fit very well, have a good curve in the ankle area, hold in place. My horse doesn't bother too much when flies gnaw at his legs. She is a happy girl!

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Useless features

Good fly repellent

My 30 year old horse stamped his feet because he was irritated by flies. This was a new behavior, so I tried these boots. He has stopped stamping his feet and seems more relaxed. Despite the fleece lining, they don't seem to get hot to him. They are breathable. They hold up well too.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Two weeks and they're in tatters

Bought May 30th and they've decomposed to the point I have to throw them away and dig up his old Kensington fly boots which are TWO weathered years and will probably last a long time. also through these. Fifty dollars for scrap. Grrr. I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Great fit. Holds up well.

Holds up better than any I've tried. Also lingers in the washing machine. They sit comfortably on my horse and fit snugly in place providing excellent protection to my horse's legs from flies. I like that the left and right foot are well defined and the style around the ankle fits well.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Some issues

When your horse must not get wet.

They do what they're supposed to do, but if your horse has access to a body of water they can cause more trouble than good. Our mare walks across the pond with wet and muddy boots. Wet, dirty wool rubs sores on the legs, and cleaning boots every day is quite tiring. Take two pairs with you so you can switch them out while one is being cleaned.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

I do not recommend! in Boots & Wraps

I can't remember why I decided to try these flight boots, maybe because they came in a pack of 4 and most of them in 1. Whatever I thought at the time , boy, it was the wrong decision. First, they had to be the size of a horse, but they were small. Besides, what was I thinking, fleece in the flight boots?! Well I thought they were soft and comfy; Correctly?! Not correct. With urine spray, the fleece quickly becomes disgusting and then the shavings load up in the urine in pieces and you have…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Very expensive

CAUSES swelling and INJURY!

I bought these boots because I thought Professionals Choice is a respected company that makes good products. My horse stayed there 24/7. He had been wearing them for several days when the blacksmith came. After taking them off, we found that his back leg was severely swollen between the Velcro straps, to the point where the skin had actually torn, leaving horizontal cuts. Unsure if it was just a horse or something he did on his own I tried them out on my new 3 year old OTTB foal. NEW pair of…

Pros
  • hands free
