The gears in it don't spin smoothly which makes my pull rope feel like it's grabbing and letting go.

I bought this for a triple window blind. Installed it and it worked 5 times before the plastic gears ripped off. Now I'm back where I started, minus $10 and still busted the blind.

I have changed the tilt mechanisms on all of our blinds to have cords instead of rods. I tried another brand that had the same criteria but was too broad. This piece of metal fits well and works well. It's a bit wider than the original, so I had to adjust the blind end bracket on the side of the mechanics a bit. The blind bar seems to rotate in small increments rather than smoothly, but I find it comfortable. It's much easier to bend the blind than with magic wands! I recommend this item…
