Not suitable for replacement

It seems to be quality made but in the end it ruined the oil scraper rings on the first cylinder. Celebration. I ended up using a cheap thin metal flex which worked great as it was more flexible to keep the rings compressed.

Use your fingertip in the gap to measure the firmness.

The Proform Piston Ring Compressor keeps the rings compressed as the piston falls into the cylinder with jackhammer blows. Has worked every time, no oil ring is leaking. There's a fine line between tightening (don't think tight) without pulling the bolt through the back of the clamp. Sticking your fingertip in the gap while tightening will help. When it stops squeezing, stop tightening.

I will definitely not buy again and will not recommend it to anyone.

In theory this is a great product and finish. However, the clamp for compressing the rings and the compressor itself are complete junk. After tightening the clamp only on the compressor itself, even without a piston and rings, the clamp could not withstand the compressed state and did not hold it. Of course, there are no clamps of this size in auto parts stores. I will definitely not buy again and will not recommend it to anyone.
