Not for MTB with DH housing with insert.

The tool broke on the first try. I was trying to install a Maxxis Dissector 3c DH 27.5x2.4 cover on a DT Swiss MX1501 with a 22.5x rim width and a Nukeproof ARP insert. I just used my old tire levers by pushing the wheel off the wall. It was tough, but after a while I was able to mount and use the tire.

Great for hard to fit tires you need this in your bike arsenal

I have been working on getting new tires on my bike by fitting the front but not the rear. I wasted at least half an hour for nothing. When this tool arrived, I was done in five minutes. Really less! The only downside is that it's not compact. So I ordered a compact ez tool for a bike!

It was easier to put on a tire than it was to take it off. Besides, it's broken.

I had to change the tire and inner tube. I couldn't figure out how to use this to take the tire off, but it helped a bit to make room for the levers. Fitting a new tire made the process easier and I didn't need chocks until the very end when it broke. I'm ordering another one because I think there's a technique I can learn to make the most of it (without using force) and prevent it from breaking. Although better quality plastic could have been used.
