Works as described, can be adjusted (harder or softer) by adding or removing filling of your choice. I use sand because it's hard. It's a bit heavy due to the sand, but I don't mind, it keeps my elbow pretty stable and avoids scratching the concrete when I'm angry. I have several of these bags and love them. However, this is the first purchase I've made without a filler and won't do it again. The nose of this bag is absurdly small. You will need a funnel with a stem about 4 inches long and a drinking straw diameter (or even smaller). I walked around the house and found half a dozen funnels, none of which worked. I ended up building something out of a thin piece of cardboard that I folded and put into the spout, then stuck the funnel into a homemade straw.
