It's as well made as it gets, but at heart it's a product that tries to solve a problem that doesn't exist. You can always wind the paracord yourself. You can use a knife to cut the paracord. This one comes in handy in a space kayak, is as durable as other plastic reels, comes with a bright orange carabiner and is easy to find. This is way too small for my kayak anchoring purpose. To be honest I expected them to be a bit bigger but I'm pretty happy with the actual size. In the description I found one mention of a 100ft tank and another mention of a 120ft tank. I was wary of a longer length so I cut the cable at 100ft just in case. As you can see from my photos I believe you can actually hold 120 feet of line well. Is it as durable as a USA made product, NO. However, this is a very good product and the price of 1/3 could more than make up the difference. ADVANTAGES: (1) It holds more than enough rope for most purposes. (2) Extremely simple design makes it nearly bulletproof for holding tackle. (3) The price allows you to put one in any kit, vehicle, etc. CONS: (1) The cigarette lighter tray doesn't work but can be modified if you want to take your time.
