I bought these for my boyfriend to wear to a wedding we were going to together. They are of surprisingly good quality. I was concerned that the silver and gold colors would be too shiny or flashy, but they matched the product photos and looked great with a black tie. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a classy look.

Really 2.5 stars. It gets the job done and that's about as much praise as I can give a product. As mentioned, the teeth on the back are quite sharp, make sure you don't attach them directly to the tie or risk ruining the tie. The processing of the silver bar is ok, I didn't look closely at the others because I only wanted silver. The clamps themselves require little effort, not necessarily good or bad. I love the tie clips I received and that they come in a set that goes with everything. The only thing I didn't like was that it didn't stick to my shirt and tie enough as it kept moving and ended up getting lost one night at a wedding I was attending. I'm really trying to be nice because I can't say it's a terrible product because the colors are beautiful and they really work to attach them to your tie. In addition, the quality of the box is far superior to the products inside. Nothing special about them, the build quality is exactly what I got from a distress purchase of a tie clip at Walmart for less than $5. This is amazing, I only wear skinny ties and they match perfectly. They show just enough for people to notice but don't ruin the look. It's all about the little details that this adds to perfection. I like this option, it gives me a bit of an opportunity to play with different outfits. You don't need crazy ties to make a statement. I think the simpler the better. They will look great in any wardrobe.

Overall this was a great set and all the clasps seem to be of good quality and solidly built. Please note that these are snaps that protrude slightly. Also, the clip's teeth are at the back, so they only grab the shirt and won't damage the tie itself. The only thing I would change is the presentation. I gave them away and while the box was great, the other two drawbars were unceremoniously wrapped inside in plastic and one was held out of sight with a rubber band.

Perfect except for painting. Some are missing paint or have the inside of the clip broken off (not that important). Gold is fine. However, it looks like they used gold as the base for everything else as the area where the black color is missing is a bronze color. And on silver you can see gold and black paint underneath.
