Installation was very easy and took me (grandma) about 20 minutes, and I didn't need any special tools or tape. We love the design, ease of installation and quality of materials on this filter, but after about 30 days of use the water starts to smell strongly of sewage. . After research, we found that it could be a build up of anaerobic bacteria in one of the filters. However, there are no instructions or ways to fix such issues other than contacting the company for a new filter. We called iSpring and after agreement they asked us to apply on their website. After researching several different systems and having owned traditional reverse osmosis systems for several years, I ordered this compact unit. It was easy to fit in the vanity in my space-constrained home. It comes with all the parts you need to install in less than 30 minutes. I was drinking pure pure water in no time. This is the first of its kind with 4 filters and no reservoir. No drain seat is required, meaning virtually no installation. It took me less than 2 minutes to convert my faucets to push-in faucets.
