Easy and fairly powerful text analysis library

It's easy enough without any coding knowledge at all! I'm actually using it in my thesis research so no complaints there :) The documentation could use some improvement (and maybe more examples?). There are also many other libraries out their with better support/documentation but this one seems like they're trying really hard since people have been asking about NLTK compatibility issues forever now :( If you want something quick & dirty then try pynlp first - otherwise take your time learning…

Pros
  • Simple interface
  • Easy to get started, even for beginners.
  • Great docs
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Easy extraction and conversion process for PDFs

I liked best how easy it was just by using python code we were able to extract text from PDF files with high accuracy (even when there are errors in some pages). It also allowed us an easier way of adding metadata information about each file extracted. There's nothing bad i disliked so far but perhaps more functionality would have been better than what they provide at this moment. We decided which documents should or shouldn't get scanned because our software could check them automatically…

Pros
  • Python SDK has native integration, great for debugging
  • Extremely accurate extracting results despite small inaccuracies like cropping etc.
  • Easy implementation into existing projects/solutions that require image processing
Cons
  • Minor Issues
