We have quite a lot of Pyrex parts and after many years the babies started to crack and break. So we bought new ones from Amazon. After 2 years only one or two of the caps bought in Arizona still work, the rest cracked. So will I buy again? Maybe I'll look for other options first.

I can complain that the original Pyrex lids aren't as strong, but the truth is that we all use our Pyrex lids every day and open and close them multiple times. The caps should show some wear. I just love that I can replace the lids so easily, and I love (now) having a few extras to use if they get lost (but that only happens around my house, right?) .

I have decided not to wash them in the dishwasher. I hope that makes them so amazing after too short a time. I assume it's the same, five stars because it's a fresh replacement for a notoriously weak product. If you're looking for a replacement, you know what you're replacing. This is exactly the combination of cases I needed or will need soon and it was great too.

Looks like a good replacement cap and should fit. The only thing is these look different from the original lids that came with my Pyrex container set. There are no instructions that came with the originals and there is no size tag outside (3 cups, 2 glasses, etc.). At this point I've had the containers long enough (5 years) that I'm familiar with the sizes, but this caught my eye. So I'm not sure if it's real Pyrex or not. Hopefully it doesn't matter and they last a while.

I like Pyrex containers. Have been using them for many years. They are durable. The quality has improved over the years. Few of them have broken in recent years, some from a hard blow, which is understandable. In general, I assume glassware breaks somewhere during the manufacturing process. Compared to all brands I've used, Pyrex is more durable. The eyelids are open. needs to be replaced. Although they are washed before being put in the rinse water, they tend to retain the smell of food…
