Not like the old ones. The spout is VERY SMALL and does not pour well. If you water too fast, the water will run all over your body. Save your old original Pyrex types. You don't want that!

It's silly to rate the measuring cup badly. Seems pretty easy to get such a basic thing right. But no. For a measuring cup to be useful, you have to be able to pour liquid in and then pour it out, and in the latter case this design fails miserably. The spout is so narrow that the contents spill out unless poured very slowly. Back to the drawing board, Pyrex!

It would be easier to handle if it was taller and less wide. Also, I tried using it to make tea (my old trick) but the handle was higher than the cup so my makeshift lid tilted forward and all the condensation dripped onto the table. There have been other times in the past where I've used a measuring cup to dip something into boiling hot water, but the cup's handle wouldn't let me do that, and I'm not a happy camper.

Many years ago I bought a 4 cup glass measuring cup from another manufacturer because I didn't want to spend extra money on Pyrex (although my mother used it all the time). Last fall (September 2016) I decided it was finally time to buy a nicer measuring cup as the paint was peeling off my old unbranded one. This is a great measuring cup except for one thing: the spout is very small compared to the size of the glass meaning you pour liquids very very slowly or they flow around the spout and run down the sides of the measuring cup to spread all over the counter or floor. When we timed it, we found that it takes about 35 seconds of gentle pouring to completely drain 4 cups of water from the measuring cup without spilling. I like almost everything about this measuring cup except the spout. When it comes to measuring, this measuring cup is a treat.
