Animal Handling Gloves

Ideal for animals with sharp claws and painful bites! I have to use them on a rabbit at work because their bites bleed so they are perfect.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • Modern

Use oven mitts instead!

I bought this to care for my daughter's sunglasses as pictured. I put on gloves, grabbed him to put him back in the cage and PLAG! Now I've got a bloody finger in this glove. Potholders should have been used instead.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Useless features

Doesn't work😫 - Toy

Doesn't work as well as described. This works as long as the bird is sitting on your finger, but it can still bite through. I have to put both hands on one hand to be useful. If you really want to train your bird and stop him from biting. Buy a good pair of gloves. I'm not coming in!

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Only available in black

Suitable for small birds.

Good overall but a bit flimsy and does not match our Indian ringnecks. Our newest Ringneck is bluffing and its beak can slice through material and cause a rather painful pinch. If only the material thickness was 20-30% higher (we used an OvGlove oven mitt, the thickness of which was ideal). So if you have conjure or less then this glove will do the trick.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Does not fit all

I bought these to deal with a very aggressive rat I was keeping. Those gloves were thick woven fabric or something, which definitely helped with scratching, but his teeth could definitely bite through them. I could take a toothpick and pierce it to the skin. I can see where they can be useful, but I definitely wouldn't call them anti-bites. A bird or rodent with a sharp beak or teeth can still bite you.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others
