useless device

I hate it. I've had this stupidity for years. Sometimes I find it in my toolbox and try to connect it but it never worked. The 8Hz setting plays seemingly random frequencies, and the 0Hz setting doesn't do anything at all. Years. crap

Pros
  • woofer bass subwoofer 8ohm or 4ohm crossover
Cons
  • high price

Worked for me!

I had a cheap 8" powered subwoofer that a friend gave me when the power went out. I decided to just take out the active guts and make a passive subwoofer out of that little amp I have for about $15 and a bit of time, it adds good bass to the bookshelf speakers I use with this amp, it adds some bass for the Wealth it brings It did I'm not a music lover so I have no idea if it would be good for this type of system or not but for what I needed it exceeded my expectations and I'm glad it did that I

Pros
  • Speaker Impedance: 4-8 ohms.
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

This crossover prevents high frequencies from reaching the individual subwoofer. 2 wires (+ and -) from the amplifier and 2 wires (+ and -) to the subwoofer. The switch either blocks or allows the upper bass to access the driver. You can hear the difference. Because of this, they state that the 8Hz position is for the woofer (lets more upper bass through) and the 0Hz position (lets the upper bass out) is for the subwoofer, but set it so that it sounds best in your system. I don't quite…

Pros
  • Power: 200W (applies to 4" to 8" subwoofers).
Cons
  • Very expensive
